RISK MANAGEMENT 01 Jun. 2012
As criteria for evaluating an investment, the expected profit and control of risk are critical. Traders use different techniques to make the risk-reward ratio positive. The individual trade, for example, is limited by the use of stop rates in its risk. Good traders instead of a big bet rely on a lot of small events. The mathematical foundation behind this is the law of large numbers of the mathematician Jakob Bernoulli (1655-1705). The law of Bernoulli states that the expected value of an event is reflected in the long run in the frequency distribution. In the short term it may be ... more →

The Heart of Discipline 06 Dec. 2011
Without trust, there is no dependable relationship between you and yourself, between you and another person or between you and your faith in your ability to follow your own trading rules. The Four Elements of Trust In order to gain long-term trust, four elements must be present. The first element is inner security. The foundation of inner security starts when you are in ... more →

The credit downgrade and your pocket 17 Aug. 2011
The credit ranking agency, S&P, has downgraded the perfect rank of the US government’s bonds. Basically it should not have much impact on the financial markets, but yet they react aggressively. The reason is of course panics and hysteria. The concerns from going back to deep recession that the world suffered from on 2008 are causing the investors to through their portfolios back to the markets, in any price they can get. Ueda Harlow: bullish outlook for EUR/JPY 01 Jul. 2011
Technical analysts at Ueda Harlow believe that the single currency may approach next week 2-month maximum trading versus Japanese yen. The specialists note that this week the pair EUR/JPY broke above 21-day MA and the daily Ichimoku Cloud.
